FAQ

Billing questions

How does the Household plan work?
One of you subscribes; the other joins by invite and gets full access on their own account — own targets, own diary, own history. No shared logins, no second charge. At the launch price of $49.99 for the first year that lands around $2.08 per person per month, and $79.99 per year after that — still less than most trackers charge for one seat.
Is there a free trial?
On monthly plans, yes — two weeks free, full feature set, and you pay nothing if you cancel before it ends. Annual plans work differently: instead of a trial they carry a discounted first year ($49.99 household, $29.99 solo), charged up front, because Apple allows only one introductory offer per plan. Either way the free basics — diary, scanner, search, weight log, your plan — keep working forever.
What can I do without subscribing at all?
Track. The food diary, 500,000+ food search, barcode scanner, weight log and your personal macro plan are free forever — no trial clock, no card. Subscribing adds the adaptive weekly coaching, AI logging (label reader, photo meal estimates, describe-a-meal, recipe import), micronutrient insights and the household features for two.
What's the difference between Solo and Household?
Seats. The engine, catalog and every feature are identical — Household simply covers two linked accounts. Start Solo and upgrade whenever your partner is ready; they keep their own account from day one.
How do I cancel?
Through Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → MacroPair → Cancel. Your access continues to the end of the paid period. Apple's own interface handles it — we never make cancelling hard.
What happens to my data if I stop subscribing?
Your data stays in your account. You can export or delete it at any time — see the privacy policy and support page.
Do you offer refunds?
Purchases run through Apple, so refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong, tell us too — we want to know.
Can I switch between Solo and Household?
Yes. Upgrading is one tap and your partner joins immediately. Apple prorates plan changes according to its standard subscription rules.
